Back to Blogging!

Hey everyone!
It has been a while since I shared with you my love for reading, but now the time has come for me to tell you all about my summer reads. Over the summer I re-read one of the best books on the planet, The Fault in Our Stars. This is one of my favourite reads of all time, as it has everything. A touch of romance, a touch of comedy and a touch of emotion. It's just a perfect read overall! The Fault in Our Stars, not only leaves a long lasting effect on me, but it also gets me emotionally involved each time I read it. Also over the summer I decided to read The perks of Being a Wallflower, I absolutely loved it! It had been recommended to me by several people so I decided to give it a shot at last. I thought that it was very realistic, relatable and emotionally touching. Also after I read the book, I saw the movie, which I found did end up meeting most of my expectations. Since the book was so good, the movie must be too right? Not always the case but with The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I thought that it was. The movie lived up to my expectations since you kinda already knew what the characters would look like so you had that pre-established image in your mind. I've always hated it when you are super excited for the movie to come out but when you finally see it, you're left up with nothing but disappointment. The movie for The Fault in Our Stars, is coming out soon and I'm actually super worked up to see it! Hopefully it meets or even better exceeds my expectations! Over the summer I also started reading books by Sarah Dessen who is said to be the all time favourite author of many. I actually quite enjoy her writing style. I started reading Along for the Ride and so far its pretty good and has kept me hooked up till now. I'm still only halfway through the novel but I'm excited to finish it and further share my thoughts with all of you regarding the novel! What did you read over the summer? Share in the comments below!
